臨界之地
“臨界”是生成的間隙,是一種未完成狀態(tài)的延宕。等待、猶疑、試圖溝通但尚未落定的瞬間,《臨界之地》意在呈現(xiàn)那些持續(xù)游弋于邊緣,懸置在雙重身份張力之中的自我實(shí)踐。展覽誕生于北京與紐約,由兩個(gè)城市迥異的文化相互照見,在生命體驗(yàn)中不斷被沖突、并置、交疊。展覽所意圖抵達(dá)的,不是某種穩(wěn)定的意義結(jié)構(gòu),而是這些尚未完成之物自身的感性張力與存在邏輯。這是一次關(guān)于靠近的展覽嘗試,地鐵是展覽的起點(diǎn),希望這個(gè)展覽像一節(jié)開放的地鐵列車。
“Threshold”is the interval of becoming, a prolonged state of incompletion. Waiting, hesitation, the attempt to communicate without yet arriving—At the Threshold aims to present self-practices that linger on the margins, suspended in the tension of dual identities. The exhibition was born between Beijing and New York, where two vastly different cultural systems reflect upon one another, continually clashing, juxtaposing, and intertwining within lived experience.The exhibition does not seek to arrive at a stable structure of meaning, but rather dwells in the perceptual tension and existential logic of things unfinished. It is a curatorial attempt at drawing close.The subway is the starting point of the exhibition. Hope this exhibition is like an open subway car.

潘晟熹(Mason Pan)
獨(dú)立策展人|藝術(shù)研究者
現(xiàn)就讀于南加州大學(xué)的潘晟熹(Mason Pan),是一位活躍于北京與紐約之間的獨(dú)立策展人。他的研究與實(shí)踐聚焦全球化語境下的藝術(shù)生產(chǎn),致力于推動(dòng)中國當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的國際對話。Mason的策展實(shí)踐涵蓋公共藝術(shù)、社區(qū)參與和跨文化交流等多個(gè)領(lǐng)域。他曾參與紐約華埠及布魯克林地區(qū)的壁畫修復(fù)項(xiàng)目,并策劃"講故事的人"等展覽,探索藝術(shù)與社會(huì)空間的互動(dòng)關(guān)系。目前,他正專注于數(shù)字時(shí)代的藝術(shù)傳播研究,持續(xù)思考當(dāng)代藝術(shù)連接不同文化語境的可能性。
Pan Shengxi (Mason Pan)
Independent Curator | Art Researcher
Currently studying at the University of Southern California, Pan Shengxi (Mason Pan) is an independent curator working between Beijing and New York. His research and practice focus on artistic production in global contexts, with particular emphasis on facilitating international dialogue for Chinese contemporary art.Mason's curatorial practice spans public art, community engagement and cross-cultural exchange. His projects include mural restoration initiatives in New York's Chinatown and Brooklyn neighborhoods, as well as exhibitions like "Storytellers" that examine the interplay between art and social spaces.Currently, he is researching art dissemination in the digital age while exploring contemporary art's potential to bridge diverse cultural contexts. His work continues to investigate new paradigms for artistic exchange in our interconnected world.
