青銅縱目面具,長138cm,高55cm,商代后期公元前1300-前1100年,1986年三星堆二號祭祀坑出土。眼球呈柱狀凸出眼眶16cm,相傳是第一代蜀王蠶從“縱目”傳說。該面具出土時,尚見眼、眉描黛色,口唇涂朱砂。
Bronze Mask with protruding eyes, Length 138cm, height 55cm, late SHANG dynasty 1300 BCE - 1100 BCE, unearthed from sacrificial pit No.2 at SANXINGDUI in 1986. Eyeballs protruding by 16cm, the legend of the first king of SHU, CANCONG, recorded in the literature as having “LONGITUDINAL EYES”. When the mask was unearthed, it even had makeup on the eyebrows and lips.
