簽署戰(zhàn)略合作框架協(xié)議

今天（5月23日）上午，寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)與甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室戰(zhàn)略合作框架協(xié)議簽約儀式在甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室舉行。未來(lái)五年，雙方將在人才培養(yǎng)、資源共享、科研合作、成果轉(zhuǎn)化等方面開(kāi)展全方位、多層次的戰(zhàn)略合作。

寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)是中國(guó)第一所引進(jìn)世界一流大學(xué)優(yōu)質(zhì)教學(xué)資源、具有獨(dú)立法人資格和獨(dú)立校園的中外合作大學(xué)，自2004年建立起就根植寧波，將自身發(fā)展融入寧波的發(fā)展，致力于引進(jìn)國(guó)際優(yōu)質(zhì)科技創(chuàng)新資源，服務(wù)于國(guó)家發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略和寧波產(chǎn)業(yè)的發(fā)展。甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室是省市設(shè)立的重大科技創(chuàng)新平臺(tái)，以“前瞻創(chuàng)新，從0到1，厚植產(chǎn)業(yè)，造福社會(huì)”為宗旨，面向新材料及相關(guān)領(lǐng)域，開(kāi)展前沿科學(xué)研究，突破關(guān)鍵核心技術(shù)，貫通創(chuàng)新全鏈條，致力于成為具有全球影響力的研究機(jī)構(gòu)，以此拓展人類認(rèn)知邊界，應(yīng)對(duì)全球挑戰(zhàn)，為人類謀求福祉。

此次雙方強(qiáng)強(qiáng)聯(lián)手，將充分發(fā)揮雙方在人才和科研資源方面的各自優(yōu)勢(shì)，整合資源，以平臺(tái)為抓手，通過(guò)聯(lián)合組建科研團(tuán)隊(duì)、共同承擔(dān)科研項(xiàng)目、共建科技平臺(tái)，聯(lián)合承辦重大學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議、協(xié)同開(kāi)展重大科技任務(wù)攻關(guān)，探索高等教育國(guó)際化和科技創(chuàng)新融合發(fā)展的新機(jī)制，同時(shí)聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)具有國(guó)際視野的高水平博士人才，助推寧諾成為一所高水平、創(chuàng)新型、國(guó)際化的研究型大學(xué)，助力甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室建設(shè)成為世界級(jí)新材料創(chuàng)新策源地，為寧波現(xiàn)代化濱海大都市建設(shè)貢獻(xiàn)智慧和力量。

簽約儀式現(xiàn)場(chǎng)，市委常委、常務(wù)副市長(zhǎng)華偉，市委組織部副部長(zhǎng)、市委人才辦常務(wù)副主任張瑞麗，市教育局黨委委員、副局長(zhǎng)王飛，市科技局黨組成員、副局長(zhǎng)陳善福，寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)和甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室的主要領(lǐng)導(dǎo)及專家學(xué)者出席見(jiàn)證。

市委常委、常務(wù)副市長(zhǎng)華偉代表市政府，對(duì)甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室與寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)的合作，表示熱烈的祝賀。他認(rèn)為雙方合作推進(jìn)教育、人才、科技三位一體協(xié)同發(fā)展，是一次意義重大的探索。他表示，寧波市政府將一如既往支持并且為雙方的合作創(chuàng)造條件。同時(shí)，也希望雙方進(jìn)一步謀深謀實(shí)合作載體、合作平臺(tái)，吸引帶動(dòng)更多企業(yè)參與進(jìn)來(lái)，共同推動(dòng)產(chǎn)學(xué)研聯(lián)動(dòng)，早日產(chǎn)出標(biāo)志性合作成果。

寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)執(zhí)行校長(zhǎng)尼克·邁爾斯教授致辭并指出：“寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)扎根寧波19年，傳承了英國(guó)諾丁漢大學(xué)追求卓越創(chuàng)新的精神，并一直致力于提供高水平的教育和科研，以應(yīng)對(duì)這個(gè)時(shí)代的挑戰(zhàn)。目前，寧諾正在成為一個(gè)快速發(fā)展的，集卓越研究、創(chuàng)新和知識(shí)交流為一體的國(guó)際化平臺(tái)。今天，我們很榮幸能與甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室共同推進(jìn)工作，互相成就。我相信，我們有著相同的愿景和奉獻(xiàn)精神，共同為推動(dòng)寧波市、浙江省乃至全國(guó)的科研發(fā)展而努力。”

UNNC signs MoU with Yongjiang Laboratory to carry out strategic cooperation

23 May: The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Yongjiang Laboratory to carry out all-round and multi-level strategic cooperation in talent training, resource sharing, scientific research cooperation and transformation of achievements in the next five years.

UNNC is the first Sino-foreign university in China that has introduced premium teaching resources of a world class university and has an independent legal personality as well as an independent campus. UNNC has been rooted in Ningbo since its establishment in 2004, integrating its own development into the development of Ningbo, and is committed to introducing international science and technology innovative resources and serving the national development strategy and the development of Ningbo industries.

The Yongjiang Laboratory is a major science and technology innovation platform set up by Zhejiang province and Ningbo city, it has the aim of "powering innovation to build a better world”. Focusing on new materials and related areas, the Yongjiang Lab is committed to delivering cutting-edge basic research, developing world-changing technologies, and creating a sustainable innovation ecosystem. Aimed at becoming one of the most influential research institutes in the world, the Yongjiang Lab pushes the boundaries of knowledge and contributes to society.

As part of their ongoing cooperation, the two parties will make full use of their respective advantages in terms of talents and scientific research resources, integrate their resources, use the platform as a carrier, and cooperate closely in research by jointly forming scientific research teams, undertaking scientific research projects, building scientific and technological platforms, collaborating on major scientific and technological tasks, and jointly hosting major academic conferences. The two sides will join hands in exploring a new mechanism to integrate the internationalisation of higher education and the innovation of science and technology and establishing a Doctoral Training Partnership in order to cultivate world-class PhD talents with an international perspective, allowing UNNC to transform into a high-level, innovative and international teaching and research university, empowering Yongjiang Lab to become a world-class new materials innovation source, and contributing to the development of Ningbo into a modern coastal metropolis.

Wei Hua, a Member of CPC Standing Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Ningbo, and other government officials, as well as leaders and scholars of UNNC and Yongjiang Lab attended the signing ceremony.

Mr Hua, on behalf of the municipal government, extended warm congratulations on the cooperation. He believed that it is an important pilot for Yongjiang Lab and UNNC to collaborate strategically to promote the coordinative development of education, talent, and science and technology. He stated that the Ningbo government will continuously provide support and opportunities for future collaboration between the two organisations. Meanwhile, he hoped that the parties would move into the next phase in order to create further concrete projects and plans, bring more enterprises into the collaboration, and produce significant collaborative achievements.

Professor Nick Miles OBE, UNNC Provost, pointed out in his speech that having been established and rooted in Ningbo for 19 years, UNNC shares the University of Nottingham’s passion for excellence with impact, and has always been committed to providing high-quality education and research that addresses the challenges of the time. “UNNC is a fast-growing hub for excellence in research, innovation, and knowledge exchange. Today, we are proud to join forces with Yongjiang Laboratory to advance our efforts. I believe that we share the same vision and dedication to advancing science and technology in the city of Ningbo and beyond.”

“The MoU between Y-lab and UNNC is a win-win cooperation strategy,” said Ping Cui, Director of the Yongjiang Lab. “Our collaboration will benchmark that of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California and make the best use of our advantages in talent and research, creating a new model of the deep integration of science and education in China.”
