去年，紀(jì)錄片《里斯本丸號》上映，向世界講述一段塵封已久的慘痛歷史。

1942年10月，載有1800多名英國戰(zhàn)俘的日本運輸船“里斯本丸”號行駛到浙江舟山以東海域時，因遭遇魚雷襲擊，不幸沉沒。而在沉沒的過程中，有10多艘日軍艦艇陸續(xù)趕到現(xiàn)場，救出了日本軍人和乘客，但卻堵住了關(guān)押戰(zhàn)俘的三個船艙的艙門，試圖讓戰(zhàn)俘們隨“里斯本丸”號一起葬身海底。在這至暗時刻，198名中國漁民挺身而出，冒著生命危險救回了384個戰(zhàn)俘。

In October 1942, the Japanese cargo ship Lisbon Maru, carrying more than 1,800 British prisoners of war(POW), was torpedoed off the coast east of Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, and sank. As the vessel went down, over ten Japanese ships arrived one after another — not to save the prisoners, but to rescue Japanese soldiers and passengers. The hatches to the three holds containing the POWs were sealed, as if attempting to entomb them with the ship. At this darkest hour, 198 Chinese fishermen braved the perilous waters to rescue 384 prisoners, risking their own lives.

當(dāng)去年6月，管虎和費振翔執(zhí)導(dǎo)的《東極島》(Dongji Rescue）傳出開拍消息時，影迷們頗為期待。這些年，中國電影工業(yè)的高歌猛進(jìn)，為拍攝這種海難場面的大制作夯實了基礎(chǔ)。

影片從70天的水下實拍，到頂風(fēng)迎浪的海上拍攝調(diào)度，全新開發(fā)一套“海洋”系統(tǒng)。

The film involved 70 days of underwater shooting and complex maritime scheduling against wind and waves, with the development of a brand new system tailored for ocean-set scenes.

《東極島》的拍攝，是位于揚州的高科技恒溫水景棚，占地達(dá)9000平方米，目前為亞洲最大規(guī)模。劇組輾轉(zhuǎn)5個深度與功能各異的水棚，精心搭建16處水下置景。拍攝前的準(zhǔn)備工作更堪稱繁復(fù)，歷經(jīng)水下攝影機、威亞、動作、逆流器、光線與置景安全等測試，涉及提前走戲、調(diào)度測試等多項環(huán)節(jié)。

這部影片自8月8日上映以來，已斬獲票房1億。

舟山漁民自發(fā)營救英軍戰(zhàn)俘的這段蕩氣回腸的歷史往事，其細(xì)枝末節(jié)雖已在新聞報道和紀(jì)錄片中被反復(fù)剖析，但那些被時光打碎的歷史殘片，卻在這部影片，以全新的視角被重新拼湊、凝視與沉思。

每一個角色都有自己的高光時刻。朱一龍與吳磊飾演的海盜后代阿赑、阿蕩，演繹了亂世中的手足情深。倪妮塑造的阿花，展現(xiàn)了中國人不屈的血性與骨氣。倪大紅飾演的吳老大，以生命守護(hù)村民的凜然令人動容。而威廉·弗蘭克林-米勒刻畫的英軍戰(zhàn)俘，為不連累漁民甘愿再度被俘的抉擇，更顯悲壯。

Every character has their defining moment. Zhu Yilong and Wu Lei portray pirate descendants A'bi and A'dang, embodying unbreakable fraternal bonds in turbulent times. Ni Ni's portrayal of A'hua captures the unyielding courage and resilience of the Chinese people. Ni Dahong's Mr Wu, who sacrifices his life to protect the villagers, delivers a performance of solemn dignity. Meanwhile, William Franklin-Miller's depiction of a British POW — who willingly surrenders himself again to spare the fishermen — adds a layer of tragic heroism.
