“我多干一點，父母就少干一點；我多彎一次腰，父母就少吃一點苦。”

這是大學(xué)生孟成感動網(wǎng)友的兩句話。

整個國慶假期，他都在5畝苞米地里幫父母掰玉米。直至假期最后半天，他帶上幾截玉米返回了學(xué)校。

" I do a bit more, so my parents do a bit less; I bend a little more, so they endure a little less. " These words from 19-year-old Meng Cheng have moved netizens across China.

Over the National Day holiday break, Meng spent all eight days working in his family ' s five-acre cornfield, harvesting each ear by hand and stacking them carefully into baskets. He worked from dawn to dusk throughout the entire break, returning to his university dormitory only on the final afternoon — carrying a few stalks of corn with him.

對此，孟成表示拍視頻是興趣愛好，不做直播帶貨，只想專心學(xué)習(xí)，以后利用專業(yè)助力農(nóng)業(yè)發(fā)展。

The young student ' s diligence and filial devotion quickly struck a chord online. After posting short videos documenting the harvest, however, some netizens questioned whether he was seeking publicity or preparing for future live-stream sales.

Meng clarified that recording videos is simply a personal hobby. He said he has no intention of livestreaming or selling agricultural products online, stressing that his priority is his education and his long-term goal of contributing to agricultural development.

掰玉米的孟成

孟成出生在山東濰坊諸城石橋子鎮(zhèn)大店子村，父母是地道農(nóng)民，平時以賣水果和務(wù)農(nóng)為生。

沒有農(nóng)活的時候，駕駛?cè)嗆囕d著水果，從村里到鎮(zhèn)上擺攤，十五分鐘的車程和筐里的水果，是孟成父母養(yǎng)育兒女的主要收入來源。

Born in Dadianzi village of Weifang, Shandong province, Meng grew up in a farming household. His parents earn a living through small-scale farming and fruit sales.

在談及家庭情況時，孟成很坦誠，“其實沒有特別困難，只是收入不是很高。我還有個姐姐在讀碩士研究生，所以家里開支比較大，剩不了幾個錢，父母就一直不能停?！?/p>

Speaking about his family ' s situation, Meng was candid. " We ' re not in hardship, " he said, " but our income isn ' t high. " With an older sister currently pursuing a master ' s degree, the family ' s expenses are heavy, leaving little savings. His parents, he added, " just never stop working. "

今年，孟成考入青島農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)，學(xué)習(xí)計算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)專業(yè)。這個國慶節(jié)，是他大學(xué)后第一次回家。

連日的降雨，收割機(jī)無法進(jìn)入農(nóng)田，成熟的玉米只能靠人工收割，如果發(fā)霉腐爛，父母半年的辛苦白費。

為了不讓父母的辛苦勞動泡湯，國慶中秋假期，孟成主動來到地里，和父親一起把家里的玉米全部收了。

Now a freshman majoring in Computer Science and Technology at Qingdao Agricultural University, Meng returned home for the first time since starting college during this year's National Day holiday.

Continuous rain had made it impossible for harvesters to enter the fields, forcing the family to pick the ripe corn by hand. A delay could have caused the crop to rot, wasting months of his parents' hard work. Determined not to let that happen, Meng joined his father in the fields and worked tirelessly until all the corn was harvested.

孟成表示小時候家里就種玉米，土地和莊稼是在刻在骨子里的牽掛。

連續(xù)下地勞動雖然很辛苦，但能幫父母分擔(dān)點農(nóng)活，也是無怨無悔。

Having grown up surrounded by farmland, Meng said the land and crops are " etched into his bones " . Though the labor was exhausting, he found it fulfilling to help share his parents ' workload.

10月11日，孟成（前右）在青島農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)教室里和同學(xué)交流。

國慶中秋假期結(jié)束后，孟成回到大學(xué)校園，投入到緊張的學(xué)業(yè)中。

他主修計算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)專業(yè)，希望未來用所學(xué)的知識和技能幫助家鄉(xiāng)推廣農(nóng)產(chǎn)品，讓父母和鄉(xiāng)親們生活得更好。

After the holiday, Meng returned to campus to resume his studies. Looking ahead, he hopes to pursue graduate studies and use his computer science knowledge to modernize agriculture — helping reduce the physical strain on farmers like his parents.
