老張的釣竿已經(jīng)彎了三年。每逢周末，他便攜了那根竹竿，踱到河邊去。竿是老竹所制，青皮磨得光滑，握在手里，涼沁沁的，仿佛捏著一段流動(dòng)的歲月。

河并不寬，水卻深，且渾濁，看不見底。老張總坐在那株歪脖子柳樹下，柳枝垂到水面，時(shí)有蜻蜓點(diǎn)水而過。他掛餌、拋竿，動(dòng)作極是嫻熟，浮漂便在水面立住了，紅白相間，像個(gè)緘默的哨兵。

魚是有的，但總不上鉤。老張倒也不急，只盯著那浮漂，一盯便是大半天。浮漂時(shí)而輕顫，他便提竿，空鉤出水，銀光一閃，又沒入水中。如此反復(fù)，他也不惱，反倒顯出幾分怡然。

岸邊常有孩童嬉鬧，見了老張便喊："張爺爺，今日釣著幾條了？"老張只搖頭，孩子們便笑："您這釣的是寂寞罷！"他也不辯，眼角皺紋里夾些笑意，依舊盯著水面。

浮漂忽然沉了。老張手腕一抖，竿梢彎成新月。線繃得筆直，在水面劃出細(xì)紋。他卻不急收線，任那魚在水下沖突。魚勁很大，拽得釣線嗡嗡作響。老張的指節(jié)發(fā)白，臉上卻浮起古怪的神色，似喜似悲。

魚終于乏了，被慢慢拖到岸邊。是條鯉魚，金鱗映著日光，尾巴拍起水花。老張蹲下身，捏住魚鰓提起來。魚鰓一張一合，眼珠黑亮，瞪著他。老張與魚對(duì)視片刻，忽然摘了鉤，將魚拋回河中。鯉魚打個(gè)旋，潛入深處，不見了。

收拾釣具時(shí)，老張摸了摸竹竿。竿身上有道細(xì)痕，是去年被大魚拉傷的。他嘆口氣，不知是惋惜還是釋然。

回家的路上，夕陽把影子拉得很長(zhǎng)。老張背著釣竿，像個(gè)古代的兵士扛著長(zhǎng)槍。風(fēng)過處，柳絮紛飛，沾在他衣襟上，白茫茫的，像是永遠(yuǎn)也拂不去的記憶。

后來聽人說，老張年輕時(shí)有個(gè)相好，就是在河邊失足落水的。那日她穿著紅白格子的衣裳，遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)望去，倒像極了浮漂。
